Toshiba has released its Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 with touch-sensitive keys that allow you the ability to control CDs and DVDs.

The Satellite Pro also uses a Windows Vista feature called HotStart. HotStart gives you the ability to play your choice of music or video with no delay. You’ll love watching movies on the Satellite Pro with its bright 15.4-inch screen.

The screen is a Super-TFT panel, which means in bright conditions, you have some reflections. Yet, if you want to use it as an around the house computer, then you’ll love what it has to offer you.

If you want a laptop that will give you the basic tasks without a lot of game playing, then this is fine. However, the integrated graphics card doesn’t do well for intense games or video editing.

The battery life of the laptop can last up to three hours before you will need to charge it again. This Toshiba laptop weighs 2.9 kilograms, which means you can take the laptop on the road when you need it.

The Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 is distinctive with its round style (similar to other company products) and its sleek, patterned plastic chassis.

If you are looking for a fast computer then you don’t want to settle for the A300. Why? It’s designed with a 2.0 gigahertz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2048 megabyte of memory. However, most people are fine with this specification but take note that it’ll slow down when numerous programs are open. However, you’ll love the 200-gigabyte hard drive that comes with your laptop. That’s enough space for lots of music, videos, software applications and documents.

You may not like the wireless network that comes with this “consumer” machine. It’s got an older Wi-fi adapter and there are no high definition HDMI support and viewing externally means hooking it to analogue sources like S-Video or VGA.

No doubt the Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 lacks some of the more cutting edge components and speed seen in its rivals. However, it’s got the quality needed for users to interface. It is a good choice for the user with basic needs.
