WRITE A REVIEW ON SONY VAIO CS11Z/R LAPTOP

What is it that makes the Sony VAIO VGN-CS11Z/R different than previous models? The new model is built upon the successes of previous CR series models and given new features. The VAIO style is refined and comes in an array of colors including ruby red.

You’ll be pleased to have the VAIO CS11Z/R in your hands with its rounded but slight curved body mixed together well. There are only a couple of odd design choices that make up the VAIO including where the optical drive is sitting and how the VGA output port protrudes from the machine.

Review of Sony VAIO CS11Z/R Design and Features

If you are looking for a computer/laptop that’s durable, then the Sony VAIO CS11Z/R design will catch your eye. Made from plastic, the laptop has a great deal of flexibility to it. However, it’s a solid piece of laptop that gives you the value you need it to. In fact, there are quickstep media buttons sitting above the keyboard. These allow you to manage the multimedia files. You also have a Capture button that works with the integral webcam.

You will also notice that square keys are protruding through individual holes, giving you the solid feel you need. There’s also a great deal of space between keys, which results in a more relaxed keyboard. The VAIO’s touchpad is a decent size and even though the mouse buttons are smaller than normal, they respond accordingly.

In term of weight, when you pick up the Sony VAIO CS11Z/R, you’ll notice that it’s lightweight, coming in at just 2.5 kilograms. It has 264 minutes of battery life, making this laptop ideal for indoor or outdoor use.

However, the VAIO only has a 14.1-inch screen. When its being moved, it’s not very reliable as it has a narrow viewing angle. You have to sit right in front of the screen to see it. If you add that to the dull panel when it runs on the battery, this laptop is limited to just desktop and electrical use.

The VAIO has the mark of a multimedia Sony laptop with the installation of the Blu-ray drive. You can view high-definition content on a screen that’s bright and clear. You also have the option to create HD content. When you are ready to watch HD content, you’ll notice that the screen resolution is fine. However, there is no way to watch any HD content on an external viewing source, as there is no HDMI port.

Generally, the Sony VAIO CS11Z/R has an Nvidia GeForce 9300 GS graphics card installed so you can play games with comfort and ease. There’s other features of the VAIO you are sure to enjoy including:

  • Separate SD and MS card slots
  • Express Card Slot
  • Dedicated Wi-Fi Switch
  • Three USB ports
  • Mini-Firewire Connection

When you look at the Sony VAIO you are going to notice some flaws. For instance, the screen clarity flaw you get when you use the battery instead of electricity. Keep in mind that despite the viewing flaw, it’s keyboard is great to use for the price you pay for it.
